Hi Collas - unfortunately not. I’ve spoken with them direct and they have ceased production, and no longer have any used units in…..

I do not know your plans for the Cirgraphics punch, but in the eighties I used a few packs of Kodak 5x4 and 8x10 Lith. film for high contrast prints etc..
Proper registration punches cost a fortune then as did the matching animation registration frames. I just used a regular two hole paper punch for the 4x5 and an A4 four hole punch for the 8x10 screwed down on sheets of ply wood. The registration plate was just plywood with brass dowels pressed into suitably drilled holes. Registration was perfect, possibly you want something more professional. I would be interesting to know your intentions. Good luck with the hunt. Cheers.

Thanks for the reply Nat.
It’s for lining up multiple split tone negatives for exposure. I want / need to use registration pins to do this, and need consistent reliable results, so need a formal system. The Cirgraphics units are ideal for this and not that expensive ….. Thanks |

You could try searching for Protocol and Billows registration systems, both were used in the printing/pre press industry for film make up and plate making.

Chromacolour is another name to look for. on the second hand market. I used their clear cells to paint fancy borders on when making Christmas cards one year. Whatever they were made from at the time, they were real dust magnets. Punched and registered with lith negatives on my basic diy set up at the time. Kodak also distributed register punches. Cheers.

Thanks Nat
I’ve had a look and I’m sure it’s a good punch However, what I’m looking for and what the Cirgraphics punch specifically provide are an underlying light box, temporary film clasps when aligning film negatives and matching registration pins I’ll have to consider other punches like this one if I can’t find a Cirgraphics punch - but I’m hoping with enough patience and persistence one will turn up Please let me know if anyone has any for sale Thanks |
