And got delivered today. Terry sent me two prints of the same negative as last month, the Malaga Beach palms.
One is a well printed lith on a matte fiber paper, I assume Fomatone 112?
The other is a regular b&w print on Kentmere Glossy RC for reference.

I really liked the photo a lot when I saw it in last month's gallery and now I see it in real life it turned out very good considering the "Holga" 35mm plastic camera.
I was pleasantly surprised to receive these two prints of the same negative.
The lith has is super hard contrast and nice warm highlights, while the regular print accentuates the trees' shadows more distinctively. I like both of them, each for their own strong points.
Thanks for both these prints!

Interesting to read your findings with home mixed developers, they seem to work quite well for you. I've thought of mixing my own too but given my limited use and especially limited time in a busy life it's just more convenient for me to use commercially available chemicals for now.

Good to hear that the prints have arrived Buzz.

Yes, you are correct, for after just rereading my letter sent to you, I now realise that I left out the lith print paper details.

And yes, the home mixed film and paper developer experiments have all been very useful and fun and hopefully future permanent mixtures. I am lucky that I have a bit more free time than most, but it's amazing how many things that one can find to do once retired or not working.

At the moment I have another(!) fun camera purchase, which I am trying to run a film through on the occasional sunny day, which we are having at the moment, so I'm not sure if it will make the next PE round or two...?

Today I found a really beautiful print in the mail, a scene in a park from Alex Muir. Instead of snow he had fogat Christmas 2020.

I like it a lot, and my wife too. The tonality in gray is beautiful.
