A well deserved accolade Trevor! Having been fortunate enough to see the originals I can't see that viewing them in a magazine will come close to appreciating the print quality... will still buy it though!

Trevor

A delightful body of work. Have you considered submitting to Lenswork magazine? Such a considered project would be reproduced with the quality it deserves if it were accepted.

Thank you Richard, Paul and Les.

Les, I've not considered Lenswork but will certainly look into it.

Well done Trevor . . now I'll have to go and hover in WH Smiths on Saturday
Actually just spotted your gallery. They're really beautiful - I must admit I always felt warm-toned prints wouldn't necessarily work for landscape . . you've changed my mind!

Thanks Phil. I do tend to gravitate towards WT papers. But as I've said these are a little warmer than the actual prints - something to do with my cheap scanner.

I seem to remember some of your prints from the early to middle years of B&W magazine being quite neutral/cool . . .

Phil, the originals were always a little on the warm side (Ilford MG/WT) just the way they were reproduced in the mag.

For my West Blean Wood project I used Fomatone MG Classic 131, then Foma changed the base colour which became too 'creamy-yellow' for my taste so I switched to Oriental Seagull WT which has a less 'creamy' look.

I've just started a couple of new projects and I've returned to Ilford MG/WT glossy, much more consistent.

Hi Trevor - I've never used any of these. I never really got on with Kentmere WT, however the one I could have happily printed with for ever was Forte's Polywarmtone. It had such an incredible quality to it - not just image either, but it's tactility . . . RIP!
