Default FP4 Push Processing

Hi all,

I am currently experimenting with push processing and I have a few rolls of FP4 kicking around. I only have ID11 developer at the moment. Does anyone have experience developing this combination? I am wondering what kind of times I might need pushing it to ISO400 or 800.

Thanks,
Luke

I rated it at 400 on one occasion, but developed in Microphen which is more suited to push processing. The results were contrasty without any obvious advantage over a 400 speed film. If you are looking for times to try it out, check out the Massive Development Chart. You should find that online. It should give some suggestions. If you don't see the combination you want under 35mm look at 120, and vice versa. Times are generally the same for these film sizes. HP5 and Tri-X are better for pushing if you want high speed and grain. I would only use FP4 like this when you have run out of a suitable 400 ASA film. Alex
