Unhappy Aristo Cold Light

I have searched far and wide but cannot ascertain if Aristo are still in business or not. This is the American company which made VC compatible tubes for cold light enlargers. I managed to get parts about five years ago but has anyone had recent dealings with them? Any help would be appreciated.

Have a look at this link I think it is the company you are looking for, and there is an email link, if you get a response then Bobs your uncle.

they were bought out and production has ceased; they were in limbo a while and may still be re parts etc. Louise.Kessler@voltarc.com is the person to contact.

Paul,

Just a thought....isn't a cold head just a flourescent tube set in an enlarger head?

Is it feasible that a neon sign maker could bend and fill a tube for you?

I may be wrong but standard flourescent tubes don't emit a full spectrum of (visible) light which makes them unsuitable for multigrade papers.
The modern energy saving lamps I find no use except for extreme contrast ("soot and whitewash"), but seem relatively OK on graded papers.
I haven't really experimented a lot though.
