Hi and welcome. We have lousy winters by comparison but there's always a silver lining - Ilford gives us D3200 and DDX.

Although I must say that during the summer it can be a bit of a pain with temperatures nudging 50C.
But at this time of the year it is wonderful – sitting out with a cold beer!
I do not need to use split development for my films either as the light is usually very good.
Summer – now that is a different story, as anything after 10:00 AM is extreme when it come to the dynamic range of even the most forgiving film.
Dave, yes Oman can leave good memories.

Unfortunately Guinness can make the negatives a little dark then again maybe I should use Fosters and drink the Guinness........
