Bill Brandt
I can't find a link to this here already so I hope I'm OK posting it here.
Whilst musing in the dark this morning waiting for stuff to develop I remembered this from way back in my memory. Whilst some prints were washing I did a google and found it. It's a BBC broadcasted interview with Bill Brandt from 1983.Though I haven't seen it since then I could still hear his voice in my head. I remember practically all of the programme but was very pleased to view it again. Thanks for the link.

Paul, it's a captivating and beautiful interview, what a personality. I liked the passage when he is laughing at Cartier-Bresson's "decisive moment". Must look more into his work.
Thanks for sharing it with us Peter |

I never imagined Brandt to be such a quietly spoken man though. I know a lot of pictures were of the moment, but I can't imagine him knocking on miner's front doors for instance, to ask permission to go in and take photographs. Terry S |

We desire more instant impact nowadays and assume that this was always the case. As a species we tend to live in the short-term moment but wrongly assume that our way now has always existed Mike |
