Yes send a message to Lionel Turban to explain who you are and what are your photographic knwoledge may be with a link to your website if you do have one. He doesn't want to sale to people who doesn't know what they buy.

Much of the post sent via Royal Mail is transported across the country by air. The rules imposed by government/CAA is the driving force behind some of the restrictions on what can be posted.
Dichromates are classified as oxidising agents as well as being toxic - Good enough reason for RM not to transport them. Shipping internationally virtually guarantees a package going on to an aircraft, so if anyone at the airport suspects the contents are hazardous, it won't get loaded. |

It is also worth noting that potassium dichromate is carcinogenic and should be handled with gloves for protection. The compound is also corrosive and exposure may produce severe eye damage or blindness.

To take this slightly off-topic I still have about 600g of ammonium dichromate I can't get rid of (local waste site said they took 'old photographic chemicals' but it's not on their list). I'd rather it went to someone who can use it though. My understanding is that it can be substituted for potassium dichromate in some formulae. PM me if you're interested.
