Default Hi from Sunny Sydney

Yes I have a darkroom. Mostly Patterson kit for film developing. A Leitz Focomat for printing. It's auto-focussing is a joy to use.
I bought it in 1969. So poor then that I declined to get the masking board so have always printed without frames. Since then I have never felt the need for one. I place a clean sheet of glass over curly paper, the bigger sheets lie flat anyway.
For a lens I have always used my Leitz f2.0 Summicron. The head unscrews from the focussing ring and screws into an adapter for the enlarger. Have only just recently bought on eBay a "proper" Meopta f4.5 enlarging lens.

These days I am slowly scanning all my negatives with an Epson Perfection 3200 scanner and Hamrick's Vuescan software. This is primarily for archiving, however I suspect that the scanner is a whisker out of focus for negs. Anyone else use that combination? I'll put the question up on a separate thread.

All the best

Alex

G'day Alex and welcome to forum. I think I can remember (amber nectar problem!) having some good times out in sunny Sydney - what a great place :-)

Neil.

Welcome aboard Alex - from an London gradually reverting to it's customary grey skies after an unusually bright and warm autumn...

Have fun! Cheers, Bob.
