Default Hi there!

My name is Theo, and I am currently studying Photography, Art and Music Technology at A level.

Over the last couple of years I have developed a strong passion for photography as a fine art. I think the combination of technology and art, and the way one has to learn processes to create an image how you want it, inspires me more than anything else.

I currently own a Nikon FE with a 50mm f/1.8, and hopefully will be getting hold of some other old Nikkor pre AI lenses soon.
My school has a very good darkroom and studio with strobe lighting, but this year being my final year, I have started looking at getting my own equipment.
This is one of the main reasons for joining this forum, apart from meeting fellow enthusiasts who may be able to share tips if I ever have a problem.

Though I myself am most definitely not as experienced as the majority of you, I hope in time I will be able to help the next generation of photographers, as I am sure you will all help me.

Thanks!

Welcome Theo,

Glad you enjoy photography and it is certainly worth trying to set up your own darkroom.

I am sure that you will get lots of help from a very knowledgeable crowd on here, I know I have. You just need to ask.

Bill

Welcome to the forum Theo. You are indeed the future of photography. Delighted to hear that your college is still teaching film and darkroom techniques. Please spread the word

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
Yeah its good that my school keeps the darkroom going, but I fear it won't for very long, maybe just a couple of years. I'm the only person that uses it apart from the first couple of weeks where we are made to learn the basic techniques. Its such a shame, but I'm making the most of it, and you never know, when it does close down, I might get loads of free equipment! Haha.
