Default Hello from Ireland

Hi All,
I've just registered and I can't believe I managed to get the same log-in name I use on the photographyireland.net website. Looking forward to a good browse and a couple of lively discussions. I work in a university teaching photography as a module for a media course with Communications, Multimedia and Journalism students, never a dull moment.
We do a lot of B&W and some colour darkroom work and digital also (am I allowed to use that word?) as part of a background in imaging and media. We don't generally produce photographers though there have been some, our aim is to produce competent and creative practitioners with a good visual awareness.

Don't put me on too high a pedestal, it could be a long way down.
