Default Hello from Sussex

Hi
I am returning to film photography after 25 odd years. This was stimulated by digitising the hundreds of negatives I have had in an old Patterson folder. I have always found digital cameras far too complicated and prefer manual focus so I got out the OM2n (battery still alive!) plus lenses and shot off a couple of rolls. Pretty average results but think I am relearning the basics.

This led to investing in a Leica M6 and some lenses - something I could not have afforded 20 years ago. Last week the film developing kit arrived and I am looking forward to developing my first couple of rolls of HP5 at the weekend.

Look forward to sharing some early results.

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy and welcome to FADU. Your introduction sounds like your about to have some fun with analogue again, brilliant. I too bought an M6 last year which I could not have justified until recently.

You can't beat seeing your negs after development or watching a print appear in the darkroom.

Welcome Jeremy. A Leica M6 eh? You are scrapping the bottom of the barrel a bit but at least you are back to analogue

PS it is a good job that a certain Mr Hicks is far away in France where he can't get me

Welcome to FADU Jeremy. If you want an enlarger I have a Durst Cls 305 with a 50mm f2.8 Neonon 6 element lens looking for a home. A £10 donation to the local camera club would secure ownership. It is in Surrey, not far from you.
