Default Hallo!

Hi All,

This seems to be the friendliest of the various fora relating to film photography on the internet, so I decided to take up the kind offer of an introductory post!

A few months ago I set up my first darkroom in the loft and despite having no running water, being obliged to carry buckets and trays up and down a ladder, being cold in the Winter and hot in the "Summer" and being surrounded by Christmas decorations, I'm thoroughly enjoying proper black and white printing at last.

I use a Leica M4-P and am trying to keep things simple by standardising on one camera, one lens, one film, one developer, one paper etc and getting to know them inside out. However I've just bought a Yashica Mat so my self-discipline may well have gone out of the window for a while!

Cheers,
Michael.

Hi Michael and welcome. You have joined a forum where in my opinion we all believe that friendliness is a vital part of our structure and is the glue that holds a good forum together.

You're in good company with your model of a Leica as I think it is Roger Hicks "go to" camera of choice.

Mike

Hi Michael,

Welcome.

Where in Kent are you?

My parents live in Maidstone (Barming end), Kent, so I pop down regularly.

If there are a few FADU'ers in the area who are willing, maybe we could meet up occasionally for a chin-wag?

Terry S

Hi Michael, welcome to the forum.

You are quite right that this is a friendly forum. I've always found that the members of this forum are more than willing to share their knowledge, even when I have asked the most basic / dumb of questions.

So jump on in and enjoy the wealth of info that is FADU.

Ian
