Default confused of Leicester

Hello all,

I am a strange combination of geek and ludite, so analogue photography and darkrooms are a natural home.

I have been seduced by the overpriced excellence of leica, and now hope to start getting to grips with the darkroom.

I have just purchased a Durst AC707 autocolour enlarger, and Durst printo . Unfortunately neither came with a manual, and I am way out of my depth. If anyone has any tips or ideally a manual they could upload I would really appreciate it.

I have been lurking here a while, and this seems a very welcoming and happy forum, I look forward to becoming a part of it.

All the best

Will

Welcome aboard Will.

You can find a pdf of the AC707 manual here: http://www.reinderheijs.nl/durst-autocolo-707-manual/

If your French is up to speed, there is a French language version of the Printo manual here:http://35mm-compact.com/pdf/durst-printo.pdf - and a brocure on the Dust-USA site which looks interesting @ http://www.durst-pro-usa.com/resources.php - but you may do better googling Durst Printo Manual or someone here may have experience (or an English language manual)...

Have fun!

Cheers, Bob.

Hi Will, welcome

And in case you need more manuals in the future - who doesn't? -, this site might be a great resource when it comes to cameras and related equipment:

For the Durst printo, I can offer an alternative to French, but it's German

Many thanks to you all. I trawled the internet for the AC707 manual to no avail. with regard the printo, I think I can figure out the main units however I have the auto chemical replenisher, and i don't really know where to start with that one.

If the worst comes to the worst I can buy a downloadable copy for £10.

now to order some chemicals and paper and let the games begin.

All the best

Will

Welcome to FADU William. As individuals we'd all be more confused than we are but for all the other individuals here who can usually "blow away the fog"
