Default T-Settings on 35mm Cameras.

Besides a B setting, were there any 35mm Cameras with a T setting produced?

Series 3 Leicas have a T rather than a B setting - but you don't press the shutter button a second time to close the shutter. You turn the slow speed wheel slightly instead. I don't really like that.

You just beat me, the only 35mm cameras with T I know of the Barnack Leicas, at least the III c and the f all have T on the slow setting dial

Nikons, F4 and 6 both have them. The F3 didn't and I also think the F5 has 'T'

The Nikon F certainly has a T setting. Some of the electronic AF models also have, and possibly some Nikkormats . The F65 springs to mind as one of the AF types. On the F, I recall that you turned the speed dial to close the shutter, as on the F2. I thought the F3 had a similar arrangement, but I don’t have one to hand. The electronic ones are a ‘push open, push closed’ mechanism. I quite liked that, but would be reluctant to use the type where you turn the dial. The way to deal with that type is to use a black glove/card/cloth over the lens before you turn the dial. It’s the same with Bronica SQs. Their arrangement is pretty strange, but it works. I don’t think they do B, and they’re not 35mm.

I have owned several F3 models and cannot any recall them having a 'T' setting. But it was along while ago.

The Nikon F3 manual says "yes".

Here's the Nikon F3 manual. It seems pretty definite to me.

Ha ha, sorry Marty - you just snuck in there first but I'll leave my link on too.

Sorry for the late reply. it is only the fully manual cameras that are of interest to me. To be honest, I think I will keep to my current camera and use the B setting. A bit more hassle, but less expensive.
