An unlikely coincidence, but I just developed a roll of FP4 last week. It had probably been in the camera for at least twenty years but I used the standard times for FP4+ in Ilford DDX. Nothing of interest, but the roll came out OK.

I should have added that I was developing for a Condenser Enlarger

If you are developing your film for a Diffusion Enlarger, you would need a higher Gamma - and therefore leave it longer in the soup

The choice of Enlarger Light Source makes a big difference to the sort of Negs your are trying to produce

I think its one of the reasons such heated "debates" happen over on APUG about such matters

.....and several countless pages later, the debate over there about condenser vs diffusion still continues.

Debate - ha ha - more like handbags at dawn

Its one of the nice things about FADU - its almost all about the pictures we produce rather than the tools we have to make them

What did Dawn do to deserve that? Agreed, the image is more important than the process.

It's all about pressing "triggers", Martin. Press the wrong one inadvertently and without any malice aforethought and war can be declared.

I am like mild-mannered Clark Kent at the Daily Planet when it come to photography but don't ever mention England 9 Scotland 3 at Wembley in 1961 otherwise I seek out the nearest telephone box to change in

Mike
