This link gives a general view of how reciprocity works.

Cheers Mitch, that very neatly explains it I think. Hopefully I will get a chance to try some long exposures next week and see how this works in practice.

Quick thanks to all contributors to this thread, which turned up top in my Google search for 'Fomapan 100 reciprocity' just now.

Having discovered that AG Photographic do Fomapan in half plate, I've just received a box so that I can load my 1900 Gandolfi without having to cut down 5x7 sheets in the dark - woohoo!

No shutter and mostly indoor setups mean long exposures are the norm, so I'm usually working between 4 and 60 seconds and reciprocity correction becomes kind of critical.

Thanks again all, and if anyone has any other tips for Fomapan 100 sheet film in general please pass them on.
