New Camera Day!
Oooh new old camera day for me, bagged a Leica CL and Elmar 90 very cheap on ebay as the seller said the meter was dead, a wein cell battery sorted that, and the rangefinder patch invisible, a scrunched up zeiss lens cleaning wet wipe dealt with that after cleaning the rather grubby rangefinder window. Looking forward to seeing what it can do!

sounds like a nice camera you will have to let us know how you get on with it when you take it on a test drive

I've been thinking about getting Elmar 90 for quite a while. You're lucky to get so cheap. In Poland they want quite a lot for it. Show us your pictures when you're ready to share

Well done, davkt. With that kind of luck in getting a bargain, can I stand next to you at the roulette wheel in the casino at Monte Carlo

Yes, lets just say camera and lens cost about 1/3 of what perfect CL bodies seem to be at on buy it now. I'd have been perfectly happy even it the meter was fried and the rangefinder invisible, sunny 16 sorts the exposure and the Elmar reaches infinity at not much beyond 10m and with my past career as a land surveyor and cartographer those sort of distances are easy enough to gauge by eye.
