I received Rob's print this morning and what a beauty it is. A shot of Oxeye Daisies in a cemetery close to where Rob lives, taken on an OM-1 and 50mm macro lens.
It's very nicely printed on Ilford Warmtone fibre paper and toned in selenium. The contrast between the whites of the flower petals and the background is perfect and gives the print almost a 3D quality. Thank you very much, Rob - I love it. Michael |

Arrived today, 2 still prints of new year glasses filled with bubbly, one a wine glass one that looks like a cut flute, very simple compositions with the glasses against a dark background, the wine glass shown full and the flute very close up, both very nice, well thought out and well taken and printed I like them both, with the extreme close up my favourite Thanks Ian
Richard

Hi Richard, sorry they took so long to arrive.
Running out of things to photograph, so just tried a few different ideas out on the table, these two seemed (to me) to work. Glad you liked them. Will post into the gallery shortly. Ian

aaaaand received today
A lovely image on MGIV fibre of a track disappearing into foothills on the South Island of New Zealand, with the whispy clouds of a wide-open sky above also leading your eye towards the mountains. As Marty says in his accompanying letter, a reminder of what awaits once we can get out into the landscape again. Cheers Marty! |

The first showing a birdhouse, is cool in colour and really shows off the characteristics of the Helios 44-2 lens wide open. While the second, of roses, is much warmer and shows the vibrancy of Kodak Portra 160 film. I like them both very much. Many thanks, Martin

Just received a beautiful print showing the historic ship, HMS Gannet at Chatham, on what was clearly a lovely autumn day. The negative has been expertly exposed to render all tones, including a great sky. The resulting print has a very nice luminance throughout. Tony has included a lot of historical detail about this vessel, which is most welcome and much appreciated. Many thanks, Tony. Alex Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
