How to see my posts
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to know why, when I click on 'New Posts', I never see threads that I have contributed to and where people have replied. Am I doing something wrong or is this just how the site works? Happy photography,

David as I understand the way the site works, if you start a thread then until someone replies your starter "disappears" on your site but is still seen by everyone else and is seen again by you once someone or more than one replies(reply).
You can check to make sure your post is still there by going to the sub section in which you made it. It isn't quite as straightforward or intuitive as on another analogue site but we're stuck with it as far as I can recall the previous posts on this very subject. I think a change to the other way might be a lot more complex and maybe more expensive to install Mike |

When you make a post it is assumed (by the software) that this is no longer a new post to you, but it is to everyone else so they will see it listed when they next log-on. As Mike says if someone replies to your post then you will see their post listed in "New Posts".
If you want to find your posts then click on your username and you will see on the drop-down menu that appears an item "Find all posts by (in your case) dsallen" Click on that and all your posts will be listed. I hope that helps. |

Thanks for the replies. I have found threads that I have contributed to by searching my user name but I had hoped there was a simpler method. By the way, when people add to a thread that I have contributed to but was not the person who started it this does not appear in 'New Posts'.
Not a big problem - I was just hoping that it could be set to be a little more intuitive. Happy photography.
