Default Your photographic year 2011

I guess it will soon be time for making new year resolutions (if you go in for that sort of thing). But before then I wonder if folks look back over the past year and consider what it was like for them photographically.

For me I moved out of a cramped attic darkroom and into a garage. No wiring or running water but it works and at least I can stand up whilst printing. The highlight was getting into the FADU 2011 exhibition and book and completing a little photographic project which I am printing and mounting over the Christmas break. This was the year I gave up entering camera club competitions, which I have enjoyed in the past but I feel that I want something different now.

Best Wishes for 2012.

Les

2011 was the year I made my first darkroom print after a gap of 28 years. No turning back now!

2011 was the year in which I put the first successful roll of film through my DIY 6x12 camera.

2011 was my best year for print sales but not so great as 2010 in terms of new images.

2011 has been quite a productive year photographically for me. Really got to grips with my portfolio on "West Blean Wood"; printed over 50 different images to date, just a few more for completion.

Archived some of my photographs to my local heritage museum and the National Portrait Gallery, London.

2011 has seen a return to the darkroom. I had a purpose built shed constructed with running water etc. I am now enjoying the time spent out there in a cosy, warm environment. My son even bought me a bell, the old fashion type, to put up outside!

Finished off my MkIII 10x8 camera, put paper negs through it. Very happy bunny. 2012 will see the arrival of the ULF...
Not the best year, on so many levels. Two weddings, but not enough personal projects for my liking. Looking back over 2011 its easier to see what didn't happen than it is to see a way of putting that right for 2012. More purpose required, i think.

2011 was the year I made my first darkroom print... ever! It has been too the year I discovered how an Agfa Isolette and the MF could be so pleasant.

I got me a Blurb book out: http://www.blurb.com/my/book/detail/2089642 "Three Cities".

And made me a camera:

And may have taken a few good pinhole shots:

Can't remember much else.
