Default Hello from Germany

Uups, nearly forgot it.

It's me, Martin, shooting and working in the lab for about 40 years.

Visited UK so many times and felt in love.

Met Jo Cornish in his gallery, and (oh my God) John Blakemore in Nottingham doing a workshop.

Inspired by Josef Sudek very early.

Ended up on 5x4 and 5x7, hopefully this last for the rest of my live :-)

Found this forum while googling for f-stop timers, and yeah I have one with the app alive and I'm very happy on this!

All the best,

Martin

Welcome to fadu, Martin. Looking forward to seeing some of your work. Great company in Cornish and Blakemore.

Welcome Martin. You have certainly managed to meet a couple of experts in John Blakemore and Joe Cornish. The closest I have come to meeting John Blakemore is having his book on B&W Photography Workshop

Many thanks!

Meeting John Blakemore was the best I've ever done.

If you can join one of his workshops you won't regret it.
Not only his skills but first of all his spirit, which taught me so much even after 35 years in my own darkroom.

He said: "keep it simple" and I did, thrown away all the gadgets and came back to basics.
F-Stop printing is a keyword, so fade-timer is all you need.

Of course your negatives should have been developed and taken correctly :-)
