Thumbs up Wanna know more newbie.

Afternoon all, from not so sunny Worcestershire. Am an enthusiastic if not so proficient type, and came across the site via another few links. I have been playing with 5x4and for the hell of it built a 10x8 to go onto my Arca chassis. Built the Mk2 from a cambo copy camera(no movements on the cambo), and am having a little fun with scanned paper negs. Next step would be to try some film, I suppose.......
Love the bravery of the people who put their images out to critique (maybe one day, but as I'm still trying to get the hang of this, don't hold your breath), and love the mostly positive feedback about these images.
All the best, and thanks to the people who not only saw a need for a site like this, but had the purpose to actually put it together.

Welcome to the Forum Jim.

There is lots of good advice on here. Just takes a little digging to find it.

Looking forwards to seeing your work when you find the courage to post some.

Bill

Welcome aboard Jim... I'm impressed by a DIY 10x8 - wish I had the time to do something like that

Have fun, Bob.

It might sound impressive, Bob, but as I follow the rule of if at first you don't succeed, CHEAT, all I did was buy a 2nd hand (from a favourite internet auction site) Cambo copy camera and mate the rear assembly and bellows onto my Arca Swiss F-line. I like Arca stuff, but I was not prepared to pay £2k merely for the conversion kit. I thought in my arrogance I was the first to think of the idea, but having Googled the idea (other search engines are available) I found several other enthusiasts who have done the same. One did a 12x20. Maybe the next project.... Thanks for the welcome.
