Default Hello from Dorset

Hi, just to introduce myself here.

I'm Kevin and live down on the south coast of Dorset.

I've just got back into doing my own B&W developing after a break of around 20 years, although i did run a couple of films through a couple of years ago when I was given some left-over chemicals from a friend who recently completed a photography course at college, and they came out OK.

I've recently started to seriously shoot on B&W film again after 'going digital' back in 2005 and up until now have been at the mercy (and the prices) of the mail-order labs.
I decided I wanted to have more control of the process and also get the negatives developed quicker!

I'm waiting for my chemicals to turn up after ordering them over the weekend, I have two rolls ready to develop, a roll of Ilford FP4+ and a roll of Fuji Neopan 400, so I'm going to be busy one night this week

I'm currently shooting using a lovely mint Canon EOS3 I got 'dirt-cheap' a couple of years ago, this uses my lenses i have for my 50D, along with an old Canon AE-1 Program & assorted FD primes.
I still have my old Nikon F100 which occasionally gets a roll put through it to stop it seizing up!

I'm sure I'll have a few (silly) questions to ask around here so be prepared!

-Kevin-

Welcome Kevin. Have fun developing the films. There's nothing like pulling the film off the reel after processing and seeing a set of good negs on it, some of which look better than you recall the actual scene was.

Mike
