Mitch, the IR400 is a really nice film.
In 120 format the grain is modest, and with a 720 filter gives a strong IR effect. None of the halation you used to get with HIE or Konica IR film, but I like it a lot. http://www.film-and-darkroom-user.or...php/photo/2441 http://www.film-and-darkroom-user.or...71/ppuser/2109 |

I really like Rollei IR400, the attached image was taken with just a red (25) filter. Unfortunately it is a dusty neg, not had that happen for years?
I should add that this is a scan of a 10x8 print taken on 120 film.

Most impressive Barry - well done.
I can see I am going to have to re-visit this film and try to crack it! Neil.

Hmmm - I recognise that beach! The extended red/IR of the film and the red filter combination has gone to town on the clouds - magic.
Does it still count as a "beach" if it is all ankle-twisting rock? |

I will - I am just waiting for Silverprint / Firstcall to have another Black Friday weekend Neil.

That's is a great photo, you have also answered a question I had about using a filter and whether or not it needs to be IR.

Looks like there are a number of filters to choose from for IR?
