I think it's just 35mm and 120 versions of the 5x4 Ortho Plus.

I just had a look-around again for this new film but so far I can only find Ag and Morco with it. The problem with new film is that you want to buy one to try and Morco doesn't sell it in less than 10 rolls at a time. However at 10 rolls the 120 stuff is £7 per roll which is quite a drop from Ag's single roll price. Ag does sell it in 5s with quite a reduction but even 5 might be too much unless you like it which is the unknown unless you have already used ortho and I have not.

Given it's a new film that most haven't used before I'd have thought that Ilford might have done a special promotion of say a 12 frame on a kind of a "try before you buy" at a price proportional to the 35 frame cassette or throw one in at a promo price if you spend more than say £X.

Wishful thinking I suppose. I'll just have to wait until the film spreads to most retailers and see what happens to the price

Given that (and I don't know in what way they are) "sponsors" is it allowed to list "other" suppliers other than those above when talking about films etc as I know many who are considerably less expensive on many things.

If you order at all from Firstcall then they have it listed, and when ordering you can include just 1 or 2 films, they are happy to sell just a small number, and for small orders they send it by post at a ceaper rate

Thanks Richard. It may be that the price will settle around the Ag price. I have since learned from another site, assuming the respondent there has it correct, that Ilford plan to sell on it's site at a higher price. All the Ilford site says currently is out of stock - still no price

So if now three retailers have it I can only assume that Ilford's first aim is to supply its stockists and this has resulted in a bigger demand than it anticipated otherwise it seems strange that Ilford has no stock.

Mind you Ilford seemed keener to talk to Twitter with a pre-launch Q&A tease than simply wait until the due date of 24th Oct and do an announcement on its site.

If you are not part of the Twitter, Facebook, Instagram crowd then maybe you are nowhere

Three 35mm rolls of the Ortho Plus arrived here this morning; so I hope to start trying it out fairly soon (have to empty the R6.2 first).

Expiry date of this first batch is 9/22.

If anyone wants to try the new Ilford Ortho + films I think the cheapest I have found is from one of the forum sponsors, Process Supplies, 135 36 is £7.79 and 120 is £7.45

Yes so far Morco is by far the cheapest on 120 but you have to buy a pack of rolls. So as long as you know this new film is for definitely for you then Morco is the "go to" stockist

Certainly at Process you can buy just 2 or 3 films just to try them out, I have done so as I mainly get all my film from them, can't say I have looked at Morco for a while, they tend to get expensive on carriage to Jersey, unless you order a lot, I tend to stick to Firstcall and Process supplies,
