Default cutting film

If I understand the problem correctly, I take it you are referring to panchromatic 5 X 4 and you wish to cut it down in total darkness. I was doing a similar task quite recently and used a small wheel guillotine and positioned masking tape on the front plate of the guillotine for the length and width measurement. Then in the dark you can butt the film up to the edge of each bit of tape for length and width cut.
