Hi, Eventually got a darkroom(well shed) set up, Been shooting film, with intent, the past five years...Mainly 120 (its hip to be square) and 5x4. (but no 5x4 enlarger, yet)....Hoping to get the hang of black and white printing, Then onto the countless porta negs.
Nice to see a forum or the darkroom
Best wishes
John,

Hi John and welcome. If I may be so bold, it must be frustrating to shoot 5x4 and not be able to enlarge the negs. Keep your eyes open here . We have a number of 5x4ers who share info on 5x4 enlargers.

Still on the bright side a 5x4 neg is nearly big enough for contact prints and this simplifies matters until the all important enlarger is found and installed

Mike

Hi John and welcome to Fadu, Why not try contact printing your 5/4 negs until you get hold of a 54 enlarger, the small contact print can be quite charming,
Richard
