Default Nikon Service Recommendation

Hi, my faithful Nikon FM2 which I bought new in 1998 is in need of a service. looking on the net, Lehmann in Stoke on Trent seems like a good bet. Has anybody had experiences with this firm, or could you give me a recommendation please. I would be devastated if the camera was damaged. Thanks.

Newton and Ellis has a good reputation. I have never used them but several here have with success.

Not cheap but excellent service and cheapness tend to be mutually exclusive.

I have used Newton Ellis.
I thought "not cheap" at first, but then you need to think about todays skilled wage per hour. Plus the rates and rent and taxes to be paid out.
It quickly adds up.
They did an excellent overhaul on my camera.
Cheers.

Usual disclaimers.

I used a company called
Advanced Camera Services Ltd
in Watton in Norfolk to service a Nikon F3. They did a great job, with a quick turnaround. The price was reasonable, and I would contact them again for this type of camera.
I found them by searching for Nikon service and repairs.
Alex.

I can give a third recommendation for Newton and Ellis, I have used them several times, mainly for classic folders and a service on my Microcord over the years, and they have always done a first class job, expensive, but I don't think that there is anything photographic new and old they cannot fix/service
