Default After Harman

Those of you who use mostly Harman made papers and intend to switch brands, what will you go for?

Please vote.

I'm not quite sure yet Miha, as I am able to buy Ilford 120 rolls for £2.75 each at the moment. I will certainly be changing over to another paper, that's for sure.
Once my Ilford films are depleted, then T-Max 400 would be a likely candidate to replace both FP4 Plus and HP5 Plus.
Fortunately, I am a fairly small volume user of films due to other commitments.

I have already started to use Adox MCC a lot and love it. It's my main paper now.

I had trialled MCC110 shortly after it was launched, but the price has crept up significantly. I stocked up on both Ilford and Kentmere papers earlier in the year and don't anticipate having to order significant quantities for some time.

When I do, I suspect prices across the board will have increased to some extent. At which point, I will compare prices and make a decision as to what my wallet will stomach - Even if paper reaches the point where it becomes unaffordable, I still have the option of hand coating or alt processes.

Film, on the other hand, will be a concern once my current stocks run out.

when my small stock of HP5+ is gone it will be fomapan 400 for me,I have used the film a lot and like it, and no QC problems in either 120 or 35mm, for RC I use Fotospeed paper, nice and very well priced at AG, and I intend to give the foma varient 123 a trial, I have a box of Ilford WTFB and when that is gone that is it,Richard

I liked Agfa MCP so probably a mixture of Adox MCP and Fotospeed RCVC.

It is coated under contract by Harman for Fotospeed, and to Fotospeed's own recipe, and is a totaly different paper to anything else under the Ilford or Kentmere brand, and the price has been held by Fotospeed for a number of years, which makes you think,Richard

By using this paper you are paying to Harman as well. I understand it's not the price of Ilford products that bothers you but their attitude. Or am I wrong?

I don't want to rule out any paper or manufacturer, just use what suits my style and pocket. If I can get the results I want from a cheaper paper then I'll use it (unless it's made from strangled Dolphins or something).
