Default Sterling Paper ?

Purchased a box of Sterling VC oyster paper from an online auction. Has anyone used this paper, is it still made?

It was indeed a lovely paper, imported from India by Fotospeed, it is a chlrobromide paper and toned beautifully, sold as Sterling RCVC paper, it was later re packed as Fotospeed RCVC, made in India, sadly the Sterling factory burned down a few years ago, and Fotospeed RCVC paper, while good, is not a patch on the original Sterling paper, I used it for a few years, both as Sterling and the re packed Fotospeed, developed in warmtone dev I believe it was the Agfa WT developer I used then, and a lot of my prints were sepia toned in Tetenal sulphide toner, (the one that smells of rotton eggs) shame that it went it was,in my opion unique in RC papers,
Richard

I will have to test it to see how fogged it is, Richard your words sound most encouraging it was an impulse buy I hope the paper is still good. It is the proper Sterling RCVC. Any idea how old it may be?

It will have to be at least 16 years old it was it was back in the late eighties early nineties that I remember using it, and late 90's that I believe the factory went up in smoke, great shame as it was one of the best RC papers around,
Richard

I had some Sterling Warm tone FB paper it went off years ago, warm tone papers don't keep as well as bromide papers since the removal of Cadmium.
