DIY 110 Negative Bags.
I have scores of old 110 negatives.
Most are bundled into single glassine paper envelopes as supplied the processor. I doubt that anyone makes full sheet negative bags for 110 any more, so I am pondering a d.i.y. method I thought about years ago. I am thinking of ordering some 35mm clear plastic negative bags, and with the aid of our kitchen, poly food bag sealer, the hot wire type, weld a line in the plastic across each 35mm tube. I have no idea if it will work, but will give it a go. Has anyone else used this method? Any advice if it will work and what make bags to use? I heard mention of a chap that gets his wife to run the plastic sleeves through the sewing machine and converts one sleeve into two. No sewing machine though, so that is out of the question. Cheers All.

Just a warning:
I have used the 35mm 'Kenro Clear Print-through' (plastic?) negative file pages and I have found that over time the negative strip 'glued' into the page with ?condensation? and I was not aware that the place I store the files was any more damp than any where else in my house. No problem with their 'Translucent Paper' pages. Mike |
