Cla
I have often seen CLA mentioned with regard to servicing and repairing cameras in a number of posts. What does it actually stand for?
I must have some of my cameras repaired and serviced and have always wondered what this term actually meant. Is it a term that is recognised ie can one send off the camera and request it to be CLAed and the repairer will know what is expected. Of course, specific problems would benefit from a proper description to be properly addressed. Thanks, Mike |

Clean, Lubricate and Adjust.
With UK repairers and LF lenses/shutters that's a full strip do including shutter and aperture blades, cleaning then re-assembly, US repairers aren't aways as thorough. B on W recently completely stripped and serviced my Rolleiflex Automat, it's not cheap. Ian |
