Great. Until I saw these I had always thought of the late sixties as being just "round the corner" from where we are now but this brought it home to me that it was another world where everyone except kids looked middle-aged. We hadn't really escaped the post-war period

I love the kids by the pram in Portobello Road where two of them fashion-wise look straight out of New Jersey and "Good Fellas"

Thanks for the link. I've seen his work previously but the Garry Winogrand influence seems more apparent to me in these.

The shot of the Clacton parade 1967 gave me a jolt. It looks like it was taken on the seafront by the Martello tower which used to be the coastguards lookout. That being the case, 20 yards to the left of the shot would have seen me in the Palace Casino, calling the Bingo or in the change booth at that very time, which was my holiday and weekend job when I lived there. I was nearly seventeen at the time. I too can't believe how different things appear to have been, compared to my fairly vivid (I thought) memories.

Default Exhibition

I visited the new Media Space Gallery in Londons Science Museum yesterday,to see his exhibition..There is an exhibition of his work along with Martin Parrs.Stunning monochrome prints and a must see exhibition.On until March 2014.
