Default Hello from Minnesota - U.S.A.

I've been lurking around here for a while. As a second career I started a photography business in 2002, building it into a business I could operate rather than doing other things. My photography passion goes back to the late 1950's when I had my first darkroom, very little money, no enlarger, all negatives made prints with contact print paper. I thought film would last for my business at least through my lifetime but boy was I wrong. I'm 100% with the other capture medium for my business and all professional photographers I know are the same. I serve on our TCPPA board and I'm teaching a class in May for the PPA. Some folks get really upset whenever I tell something about "d" I'm using for my business. I have left another analog forum because of this. If you folks get upset with my comments maybe I'll go back to lurking once in a while. It's your choice. My teacher, coach, mentor & friend for my photography was Monte Zucker. Thanks & have a wonderful 2011.

Hi Bill and welcome. I and most other here will recognise the necessity for using digital cameras and work flow for your professional work, so you are forgiven for that lapse. There are many others here seeking refuge and solace from the workday digital world as well as those of us who have chosen not to get involved with it, so please keep in mind that this forum is here for the discussion of film and darkroom work rather than digital stuff.

Will do Dave.

And when I do get over zealous with my digital comments, try to be gentle when kicking my behind!

Thanks for your comments.

I've got a nice collection of film cameras and I've got two FP4 rolls of film I'm going to develop today in ID-11. One roll was made with a 500C and the other with a like new Rollei Automat! The photos are of beautiful ice crystals on the windows of our three season porch twinkling with sunlight.

Hi Bill and welcome. With your analogue experience I can see no chance of you not being able to help here. I look forward to hearing about yours
