Default Cable release for Sinar shutter.

I was lucky (?) enough to be able to buy a Sinar shutter to go with my barrel lenses. Yay! I can now adapt something to be able to use those repromaster lenses (see thread) and a sinaron. But (there's always a but) I need a cable release that reaches the trigger mechanism. All the releases that I posess do not, they do not throw the prod out far enough. The shutter is fine-I fired it using most of an Allen key. When I took the front off the shutter I found all I needed was a longer throw cable release. Any ideas or suggestions, anybody got one? Thanks. JimW

Jim,
I have a cable release that throws the prod out 15mm (measured). You can have it if it is any good to you.

Thanks. Will get back to you, if I may. Need to measure the exact distance required.

Hi
The throw of a Sinar release for a Sinar Copal shutter is 46mm.

Good luck.

No problem Jim. Sounds like you have a job on. Stay out of bodging mode as long as you can, and good luck.

Have drawn up some plans, making use of some control gear used in CNC engineering. I too do not like the bodge look.
