I have 2 grain focusers with which I am very happy, the Paterson works fine for 90% of focusing, but you do need to have your eys actually on the eyepiece, which can be a problem if making a big enlargement, which I rarely do, I like 9 1/2 x 12, but for bigger enlargements I have an old, at least 30 years, lpl, which needs you to have your eye further away from the eyepiece, which helps if the enlarger head is further up the column, sadly this lpl is no longer made, replaced by one more like the Paterson,
Richard

Just had a quick go on my peak focuser as it came today ,WOW , I didn't believe it could be that good but it is . When I do some printing I will give
it a good go and see if it makes my finished prints any (sharper) better..
