Default Really?

Angelina Jolie wants to direct a film about Sir Don McCullin and starring Tom Hardy.

Why not? She appears to have McCullin on board so could be interesting. Thanks for posting.

I've only watched the beginning of "By the sea" but I've seen enough to know it's a beautifully made film and I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest.

I truly believe Jolie has the competence, the integrity and that she will be uncompromising when it comes to her art.

Tom Hardy is not a bad choice either, having seen him in a number of films.

Sounds promising

She's a bit off center as a person but her resources-personal and otherwise-should make it a solid effort.

My initial reaction was a bit sceptical, but she does seem to have garnered quite a bit of critical acclaim for her earlier directorial work so it would be interesting to see what she did with it. Judging by her previous films, I imagine it would concentrate on his war work and its effects on him so it might well be worth a look if it comes to pass.

I’d rather see a film about McCullin wandering over the Somerset Levels with a Mamiya Press around his neck but I can appreciate it might not have widespread appeal. ☺️
