Yup, tis sorted ... Ran a couple of negs through it this morning (tape measure at 45 degrees). Worked fine, nice and crisp. Tested the flash triggering at the same time. As you say, someone must have added the bumpers, maybe after breaking and replacing the original ground glass ?
