Default Hi Everyone

Hi everyone. I've just come across this site, and have to say it's great to find some like minded people at last. My full time career was as a hand printer and, although the introduction of digital has forced me into retirement, I still continue to photograph and print all my own stuff. I've got my own permanent darkroom, and though I mainly shoot in medium format black and white, I do still print my own colour. I'm looking forward to picking up lots of new info on the art of photography and printing - you're never too old to learn - and if I can pass ony tips then all the better.

Welcome Fred, glad you found us.
I'm not too old to learn either, so I will appreciate any hints you can throw my way.

Welcome aboard Fred. I'm sure with your experience there is a lot more you can teach than learn but I hope you can do both .

Have fun, Bob.

Hello Fred, good to have you here. Indeed one is never too old to learn as I'm finding out almost on a daily basis.

Digital forced you into retirement, yet another reason for me to hate the infection of D Forced retirement can be a blessing of course which I sincerely hope it is in your case.

Hello Fred, welcome to FADU and welcome to retirement as well. Maybe you will be now able to make all those prints you promised yourself you would do one day :-) I will look forward to your contributions as I am still learning as well :-)

Neil.

Hi Fred. A double welcome from me as colour darkroom printers are good to find and I have tried C41 and RA4 in the past but have gone very rusty in these areas.
