Default Shutter Repair in the UK

Last night I was getting my recently constructed wide angle panoramic camera ready for its first film when I noticed something wasn't quite right with the shutter. On of the blades had come loose and was floating around inside. I retrieved it by removing the elements.

The shutter works fine but I need someone in the UK (preferably) who can take it apart and put the shutter blade back in.

I took the front off to have a look and quickly put it back together again. If I carried on, I would have just created a collection of spare parts!

Any ideas?

Steve.

I've not used them but had this guy recommended to me by a few people:

http://www.bonwcameras.co.uk/

He's supposed to be good and highly rated - was certainly helpful over the phone when he did me a quote.

There are a few that have been placed in our LINKS section by members that may be of interest.

Someone on APUG has suggested the same company (it wasn't you was it?) so I have sent him a message.

The last time I had a LF lens shutter repaired was by Linhof & Studio. First class service but not cheap.

Not cheap is what I am worried about. One company has already said they would look at it for £85. I only paid £20 for the shutter and lens. There are a couple on ebay for about £85 so that could be another option.

Steve.
Just checked my records and Linhof wasn't as expensive as I first thought - £63.45 inclusive of postage but it was 5 years ago

I have had a reply from John Quantick with a quote for £58. I will start saving my pennies up now!
