Default Dr. Paul Wolff and Alfred Tritschler- the big picture

Names with which I was not familiar but this article from the Observer has a link to a book of images taken from the 1920s to the 1950s by these "masters of the Leica".

Nick - If you have a copy of The Leica way by Andrew Matheson, you will see that quite a few of the illustrations (in editions around 1963, at any rate) are credited to Tritschler. They are well above run-of-the-mill standard. I investigated him a bit and found out quite a lot about his work with Wolff (who had a standard book on the Leica, too); so I'm very glad you have posted on this. Thank you.

Thanks again for posting these, Nick. The picture of Dr Wolff examining the negatives is interesting. They look very thin. The photos in the article look great. I have one of Wolff’s books from 1935, which I really like, and am thinking of ordering this one. The book I have gives details of camera and lens for each image.
