Default Rollei IR400 and PMK 1+2+100

Has anyone tried this combination? I have a 35mm film to develop, and thought this might be an interesting combination. It was exposed at 12 and 6 ASA.

Hi Alex.
120 roll Rollei IR 400, EI 6, PMK 1+ 2 + 50 for 12 minutes at 20C

This is the only film where I don't use 1+2+100.
Good luck with 35mm- in 12o the grain is very fine, and the tonality is lovely.

Thanks Colin. I don’t recall seeing those images back in 2018. They are very nice. Why do you use 1+2+50? Had you tried 1+2+100 and found it unsuitable?
Thanks ,
Alex.

Good evening Alex-
I went here to get a starting point:
https://www.digitaltruth.com/devchar...=C&TimeUnits=D

2+4+100 is (of course) same as 1+2+50. After a bit of testing I ended up with 12 mins at 20c rather than 7.5 mins at 21.

Cheers!

If i can get around to scanning a couple of prints, i will start a thread about Rollei Superpan 200 as an IR choice.
I got some very good results last week using PMK standard dilution, I used their recommendation ( from datasheet ) of 17min @ 20°C for Bergger PMK as the basis ( although i was nearer 21°C, the time reduced usefully ).
Since we are all told by Photrio that this is the same emulsion as Rollei IR, I thought it relevant.
I will however discuss the film base on the new thread ....
