Default E4 Processing

I have 4 films to process using a Techno E4 kit. In the instructions it warns against using plastic for processing as it says the colour developer is absorbed by some plastics and will contaminate the first developer if the tank and spool are used again. Is this a major problem as I don't have stainless processing kit? I do have 4 tanks so I could use one for each film.
Any thoughts?
Brian

I believe tht the absorption problem also exists with E6 because the last E6 kit I used printed a warning in the instruction leaflet. The way to neutralise items afterwards is to fill them with water to which you add about a spoonful of household bleach. I do this when mixing RA4 developer.

However if you have enough measures, then save one for each of the developing stages, I doubt if it is a problem with the bleach, fix and rinse stages

I processed mainy rolls of E4 film, the chemistry is actually the E3 process as E4 chemistry was too toxic for home use.

I only ever used Paterson plastic tanks and never had a problem, I used the same tanks for C41 and E6 and I'm still using them today.

Thank you, that is very reassuring.
