Default Better late than never

I've resisted coming here..... being worried about even more time in front the computer ! Temptation's now got the better of me though (as it does with most things involving photography) so here goes ...

Been into traditional photography for around 15 yrs and am totally dedicated to the wet darkroom. Most of my work is land/seascapes of the fantastic Cornish coastline but I also do a fair bit of still life which usually involves stuff I find when beachcombing - another favourite pastime. I use mostly med format (RB67) and large format (Sinar 5x4) cameras.
Have recently got into collecting aswell, which was intended to be a way of supplementing my income through buying and selling but it's proving too difficult to let go of all my finds !! I'm now drowning in a sea of bakelite box cameras, old folders, rangefinders, TLR's and a recently aquired gorgeous mahogany whole plate camera which I hope to be putting into use ..... one day !

I recognise quite a few names here and one or two of you I met on the recent Cornwall APUG gathering so will look forward to communicating and making my small contribution towards keeping the 'pure' forms of photography alive.

Cheers
Bill

Hello Bill and welcome to Fadu, I also collect cameras, because I like to use old cameras,I very often prefer to use the classic camera to a modern one,Richard

Hi Bill!
I like that you used my favourite photo from you as your icon

Maybe you should take pictures of your cameras in still lifes...

Brilliant. Looking forward to seeing a few of your wonderfully printed images here. Or, if that's not possible on FADU
