Default Enlarger bulb

I had broken the substitution bulb I had for my enlarger -a Meopta Opemus 7-.

Can I buy any 150w/E27 bulb or it must be a specific bulb?

Thanks.

If you still have the manual for your enlarger the details of the bulb will be given in the specification.

You need an enlarger bulb, any make should work fine, but 150 watt enlarger bulbs are hard to find these days, so you may have to use a 75 watt bulb,
Richard

Firstcall sell a suitable bulb. It is a P3/3 ES and costs £3.05. Problem is postage is given as £7.50. Possibly there is a Spanish supplier for these. Firstcall also have a table listing the bulb for various enlargers, http://www.firstcall-photographic.co...rger_lamps.pdf

One problem with a domestic bulb is that there is writing on the face which can show on the print. Proper enlarger bulbs have the writing on the neck where it does not show. I don't think the bulb you have shown would be suitable.

Also available from Process Supplies for £2.60 - Shipping appears to be a more reasonable £3.50...

Domingo check out the above site I gather that the bulbs may be expensive but they do stock the 150 watt ones. I got the address from an Irish web site and have not checked it out myself.
