Default Back in the darkroom at last.

Because of building work I had to shut my darkroom down in February, and despite the work being finished a while ago, I then did my back in and haven't been able to go up the ladder!

As a bonus I got the darkroom re-plumbed and re-wired as part of the work to turn our garage into a granny-flat for the in-laws so I can't complain too much - particularly as they paid for it!

I got back in for the first time last night with a handful of films to process. I feel human again! Week off next week and hopefully it won't be too hot to print.

Rob

Don't worry Rob. In less time than it will seem possible any hot weather will be like distant dream and at least the nights arrive earlier. I never feel right going into the darkroom unless darkness is just about to arrive

Late August to late September spells nice days and pleasantly warm dark nights. Pity about the other eleven months

I know how you feel, Rob I was forced to close my darkroom for a couple of months late last year due to a severe water shortage over here and my Other Half said I was like a lost soul.

Hope you're enjoying being back in the darkroom. My darkroom has been out of action for the last few weeks while parts of the house are being redecorated. Can't wait to get back in but it will be another week or two and the rolls of film are piling up.
