Welcome Stephen. Being darkroomless is a problem but at least you can dev and process film. A changing bag or maybe better still is a dark cupboard for loading. Once of the nicer aspects of winter is the early darkness when there is no daylight to creep under doors.

I have never tried it but I wonder if any room with thick curtains closed and no street light shining in would do? I suspect it might.

Welcome to FADU Stephen.
Before my children flew the nest I used to print in the lounge. Thick curtains were adequate protection from street lights. With winter here, if you feel at all adventurous you might give a few contact prints a try as you don't need any equipment for that.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Re darkroom - I hope to get a darkroom in the not too distant future when/if the the kids go to uni -though with the student loan business I suspect they may be more inclined to stay at home and attend uni locally.
on contact prints - I did start to be come a little interested in doing something with digital negatives and making some contact prints from them, but lets say that's a subject that's marking time at the moment.

Welcome to FADU Stephen and I hope that darkroom is not too far away.
