Welcome to FADU, Tom. Whereabouts in Iowa? I used to have the pleasure of visiting Ames (on business) and enjoyed exploring the State whilst there.

Thanks for all the welcomes !! Yes, if the US could be shrank in size that would almost guarantee another film user close by.
I live in the small town of Grand Junction, about 30 minutes west of Ames, on highway 30. Boone( between me and Ames) has the Kate Shelley High bridge, which offers some great photo shots,if one cares for trains. thanks again for all the welcomes ---tom |

I certainly care for bridges and trains, but it's sadly a bit far for me for a weekend's jaunt!

Hi Tom! As far as I remember there is a little and pretty nice canyon near Boone. My favorite places in Iowa were Pella and Madison County Bridges near Winterset west of Des Moines. The Saylorville Lake is pretty cool as well. There was a great fish restaurant on Douglas in Urbandale I used to go for lunch... welcome to FADU!
