Default Hio from Northampton

Hio all,

Recently completed a most aweful 'photography' course but no more of that here as it at least gave me the nudge to really go into the darkroom and today was my first attempt in colour printing.

So for now, hello and speak to you all soon and I look forward to seeing and sharing in some great photographic works.

Steve

Hi Steve,
Welcome to the forum. I too am printing colour at the moment although I am also set up for monochrome as I have both heads for my LPL enlarger. The process with a Nova heated unit has been very successful, unfortunately the same cannot be said for the quality of some of the photographs. I would be happy to hear how you get on with the colour printing!
Regards,
Paul

Many thanks all for the welcome

PaulBJE, I'm also using a LPL for colour work, are you using a particular system for determining the colour balance or trial and error? I tried a Paterson Theilgaard analyser but the prints came out with a large magenta cast. I think I'll have to vist the search bar and see if I was doing something incorrect.
Secondly, is that one of the NOVA trimate's or a tray warmer? I know what you mean about he content of pictures but thats my excuse for taking ever more...surely I'll hit a good shot one time.
